Board and train in Auburn, CA

Training Programs Built for Real-Life Results

From foundational obedience to advanced off-leash control and serious behavior work, our programs are designed to create lasting change for both dogs and owners.

Every Dog Needs the Right Path

Every dog is different, but strong outcomes come from structure. Sierra K9 Academy uses clear program paths to match your goals, your dog’s temperament, and the behavior challenges that need to change. The consultation helps determine whether your dog needs foundational obedience, off-leash reliability, or a deeper behavior transformation program.

Board-and-Train Programs

Foundation Program

Suggested length: 2 weeks
Best for: Dogs needing structure, basic obedience, manners, and household boundaries.

This premium foundation is designed for families who want a calmer, better-mannered dog. Training focuses on sit, down, place, heel, recall foundations, on-leash obedience, better home manners, clear communication, daily progress updates, a go-home lesson, and follow-up support.

Most Popular

Advanced Program

Suggested length: 3 weeks
Best for: Owners who want a dog they can trust in more places, with stronger control and better reliability.

Includes everything in Foundation plus off-leash obedience, reliable recall, public training, distraction work, lifestyle integration, extended go-home training, stronger long-term support, and limited lifetime support through monthly training sessions.

Elite Behavior Transformation

Suggested length: 4–6 weeks depending on dog and goals
Best for: Dogs with more serious challenges including reactivity, anxiety, or major behavior issues.

Includes everything in Advanced plus customized behavior work, more intensive structure, advanced communication and control, multiple owner sessions, ongoing support, and limited lifetime support through monthly training sessions.

Early structure

Puppy Development

A practical foundation for young dogs learning manners, crate routines, leash exposure, confidence, and clear expectations before habits become harder to change.

Owner coaching

Private Lessons and Follow-Up

Targeted coaching sessions help owners improve handling, sharpen obedience, and maintain progress after a board-and-train program.

Transfer work

Family Integration Sessions

Training only works when the family can use it. Transfer sessions help everyone understand the structure, communication, and expectations.

Results Backed by Ongoing Support

Sierra K9 Academy stands behind its training by preparing dogs to complete the program and demonstrate the skills taught before going home. Owners are taught how to maintain those results, because the real value is not just a few weeks of training—it is a system, a trained dog, owner coaching, and continued access to support. Higher-tier programs include limited lifetime support through monthly training sessions, giving families a safer long-term investment in the training path.

How to Choose a Program

Choose Foundation if your dog needs household manners and reliable on-leash obedience. Choose Advanced Off-Leash if your lifestyle includes trails, public outings, and more freedom with stronger control. Choose Elite Behavior Transformation if your dog has serious behavior patterns that need more time, structure, and owner coaching. If you are unsure, the consultation is the right first step.
